Z. W. Moody, the former Eula Bradshaw, died Saturday night In. a Memphis hospital after several weeks' illness. Funeral services were held Monday morning at eleven o'clock at Bowers Chapel, the Rev.

Nov. 29 Wilmer Whitten, negro, was charged today with the felonious assault of Lewis P. Summers, 70-year-old Washington county attorney. Police Chief Garland K. Patton said Whitten was captured Saturday by citizens who gave chase after he fled from Summers' office and they saw the attorney emerge with blood streaming from stab wounds in the throat and face.

Physicians said the attorney's condition was not serious. Patton said Summers told him the negro entered the office and attacked him as he sat at a desk writing. The officer quoted Whitten as saying that he went to the office to. discuss sale of his mother's property by the attorney and Summers struck him with a poker. The average farm milk cow in Tennessee gives on an average of 300 gallons of milk per year, which is about one-half the amount that she should produce if provided with the proper feed and care.
