A local weather service in a survey of the belt for the past week reported subnormal temperatures in all sections, with a mean average of about 10 degrees below normal. The week's turnover of 3,738,380 shares was the smallest since the period ended April 7. 1945. The total last week was 4,808,150. Airlines enjoyed a mild flurry today following the granting of a passenger fare boost by the CAB. Pennsylvania-Central was up at 12, TWA at 20 and Eastern 4 at 21 4.

Eastman Kodak added 24 at 240, U. S. Gypsum IV at 104 and Norfolk Western 1 at 2414. Modest plus marks were retained by U. S.

Barley jumped 10 cents, the limit, but volume of turnover in this cereal is very small at this market. In the last few minutes of trading the expiring March wheat contract was bid up 10 cents, the limit, to $2 86 Other March deliveries closed without any wide price changes. All outstanding March contracts must now be settled by delivery of the actual grain. Deferred wheat contracts finished 4 higher. May corn was 34-34 higher, March and oats 4-4 lower.
