Danny Katayama, 34, an Associated Press reporter in Cheyenne since 1995, died Sunday in Mississippi. The reporter, who was visiting Starkville, to attend graduation rprpmnnies for his brother, Katayama Andrew, collapsed while jogging with his brother and could not be revived. Katayama joined The Associated Press in Cheyenne in January 1995, where he covered a wide range of topics, including Wyoming's Legislature, natural resource issues and sports. Before joining the AP, he worked for The Jackson (Tenn.) I PAJO ANNOUNCEMENT Roy Brown Rushing Graveside services for Mr.

Roy Brown Rushing, 80, will be held today at Hollywood Cemetery with Rev. Norman Culpepper and Rev. John Rushing officiating. Mr. Rushing died Sunday evening at West Tennessee Skilled Nursing Center following an extended 1 1 1 ness.

He was born July 22, 1916 In Ripley the son of the late Homer and Elizabeth Jones Rushing. He moved to Jackson as a smalt child and made his home here for the remainder of his life. Mr. Rushing was a retired engineer from the Illinois Central Railroad, a member of the Brotherhood of Locomotive Engineers, and a long time member of Poplar Heights Baptist Chruch as well as the R. E.

Guy Mens Sunday School Class. He is survived bv his wife of fifty-five years, Vena Mai Turner Rushing of two sons, Roy Rushing of Jackson, and Rev. John Rushing and wife Karen of Columbia, TN; one sister, Mary Konopka of Portland, OR; seven grandchildren, Kim Hart and husband Jeff of Thompsons Station, TN, Hugh Rushing and wife Jill of Jackson, Will Rushing and wife Dana of Reagan, TN, Cheri Cutulle and husband Brian of Gallatin, TN, Chris Rushing and wife Jennifer of Columbia, and Jana Rushing and Amanda Rushing, both of Columbia; and six greatgrandchildren, Laura Hart, Andy Hart, Molly Rushing, River Rushing, Ashton Rushing and Blake Rushing. Linda Coleman Wilson, age 55, will be Tuesday May 13, 1997 at 2:00 p.m. at Latham Chapel Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry McDivitt and Rev. Tommy Stutts officiating with Replogle-Lawre'nce Funeral Home in charge. Burial will follow in Latham Chapel Cemetery.

Mrs. Wilson passed away Saturday night. She was the daughter of the late Pete and Mildred Replogle Coleman. She was born in Carroll County and moved to the Medina area at an early age. She was a graduate of Medina High School and West Tennessee Business College where she was also elected Miss West Tennessee Business College Queen.

She was a member of Latham Chapel Baptist Church. Mrs. Wilson worked at Jackson Packing Company for 16 years as a Secretary to Robert Caldwell and retired from Union University as Text Book Manager in 1991 after 10 years of service. She is survived by her husband, Gene Wilson; one son and wife, Christopher and Crystal Wilson; a brother and his wife, Guy and Beverly Coleman all of Medina; seventeen nieces and nephews; several aunts, uncles and cousins. The family request in lieu of flowers, memorials be made to Latham Chapel Baptist Church.

While in Des Moines, he coached a Little League baseball team. Katayama was born in Denver in January 1963 to Henry and Sachiko Katayama. He received his bachelor's degree in American studies from Pomona College in Clar-emont, in 1985, where he also played baseball.

He is survived by his parents and brothers, Andrew of Starkville and Derrick of Lake-wood. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday and Friday at the Highland-Olinger Mortuary in Denver. A memorial service will be at 8 p.m.

Burial will follow in the Beech Bluff Cemetery. Miss Barnes died Saturday at her home of an apparent heart attack. She was born in Henderson County, the daughter of the late William Virgil and Myrtle Stokes Barnes. She graduated from Beech Bluff High School in 1936. Miss Barnes was a member of the Beech Bluff United Methodist Church and taught the Women's Sunday School Class.

She was an active member of the United Methodist Women. Miss Barnes retired after thirty five years with South Central Bell (1947-1982) and was an active life member of the Telephone Pioneers of America. Survivors include one brother, Clifford Barnes of Bedford, IN; four sisters, Vonnell Alexander of Manchester, Grace Rodrigez of New Orleans, LA, Betty Spears of Nashville and Ola Mae Lamb of Memphis; fourteen nieces and nephews and many friends. Miss Barnes was preceded in death by a brother, Clyde Barnes and a sister, Lee Helen Grisham. Pallbearers to serve will be James Melton, Von Stayton, Bobby May, Johnny Arnold, Gary "Butch" Stewart and Alvin Jones.

The family has requested that any memorials be directed to the Beech Bluff United Methodist Church. She was married to Morris T. Wells, who preceded her in death in 1988. Mrs. Wells had been a resident of the Cincinnati, Ohio area for forty years and had been a Jackson, Tennessee resident for the past twelve years. She was vice-president and co-owner of JMW dba.

Western Sizzlin Steak Houses of Jackson. She was a member of the Forest Heights United Methodist Church, where she had been active in the Sarah Esther Circle. Mrs. Wells was also a member of the Evergreen Garden Club and the Jackson Country Club. She Is survived by one daughter, Debbie Wells Gomez and husband Phil of Jackson, TN; two grandchildren, Natalie Rose Gomez and Morgan Louise Gomez both of Jackson; two sisters, Grace Hull Jones and husband Carl F.

Jones, Jr. of Jackson and Frances Hull Milhorn of Greeneville, TN; five nieces and nephews, David Milhorn of Lexington, Carolyn Hull of Cincinnati, Janet Nealeigh of Cincinnati, Teresa Smith of McKenzie and Carl F. Jones III of Jackson and other great nieces and nephews. Mrs. Wells was also preceded in death by two sisters, Betty Hull and Martha Tim-mons and five brothers, Clyde Hull, Charles- Hull, Warren Hull, Calvin Hull and Sammuel Hull.
