STATEDEATHS Wednesday, Jan. 11, 1995 Page 6AThe Jackson Sun DEATHS Storm hastens blood shortage The Associated Press KNOXVILLE Parts of East Tennessee are experiencing a blood shortage due partly to a drop in collections because of last week's winter storm, of- ficials said Tuesday. The center, which serves 25 hospitals in 21 counties in East Tennessee and Kentucky, needs to collect 200 to 250 pints of blood a day to ensure an adequate inventory.
