Haywood High School, 1175 E. College St. Mrs. Mildred Bond Roxborough. Continued from cover Jones, along with Octavion Buntyn, 21, of Davis Street were charged with the aggravated robbery of Days Inn, 2239 Hollywood Drive, during which employee Lewis Webb was shot in the back.

"They both had a pistol," Webb testified. "I heard a shot, stepped back, started to duck and was shot as I was falling. There were about five shots. I crawled to the office. I couldn't tell who was shooting." The two also were charged with robbing Pizza Hut Deliv ery, 605 Carriage House Drive, during which store manager Catherine Mayo was shot in the stomach.

Mayo, 42, remains at Jackson-Madison County General Hospital listed in fair condition. Two suspects, wearing masks, entered the business at about 9:42 p.m. The robbers demanded money from Mayo, officials said. Police believe Buntyn was carrying the shotgun and shot Mayo. They left the store with about $200.

Officers stopped the car near Whitehall Street and arrested the suspects. A shotgun and some cash were recovered. Jones, who has been in Jackson for only eight months and has not attended school since being in the city, dropped his head when Judge Harris bound his case over to Circuit Court. "We had two serious robberies six days apart," Harris said. "One woman nearly died.

He had two children, William Joseph "Billy" Moon and Terri Lynn Moon, both of Maysville, Ga. His parents are Mr. and Mrs. W.J. "Dub" Moon of Auburn.

His maternal grandmother is Clara McCartney of Martin. His paternal grandmother is Connie Moon of Rutherford.
