TRENTON Two persons were injured at the Gibson County Fair Friday night when the seat of their carnival ride came loose, police said. Robert Arnold, 32, and his wife, Jean Arnold, 29, both of Bradford, were in fair condition at Gibson County General Hospital Saturday, suffering multiple injuries. The ride they were on is called the Trabant, said Sgt. William Sanders of the Trenton Police. On the ride, the center pole goes up and down and attached cars swing out and around.

The Arnolds car broke loose and landed 20 to 25 feet from the ride, said Sanders. The couple landed on the ground 10 to 15 feet from the ride, falling from a height of about eight feet. Rides at the fair are by Golden Empire Shows, based in Miami, Fla. The ride was shut down for repairs after the accident, said fair manager Paul Flowers. Black Guerilla Holds Talks With Smith LUSAKA, Zambia (AP) Black guerrilla leader Joshua Nkomo said Saturday he held secret talks with Rhodesian Prime i Minister Ian Smith last month and Smith discussed a role for Nkomo in Rhodesia's bi-racial government.

Nkomo told reporters about his meeting with Smith at the end of a summit conference of the so-called front-line African states, which border Rhodesia and support guerrillas of the Patriotic Front alliance led by Nkomo and Robert Mugabe. In Salisbury, Rhodesia, Smith confirmed he met with Nkomo at "the insistence" of Zambian President Kenneth Kaunda. The discussions were "exploratory and inconclusive, and in no sense did they constitute negotiations," said a statement from Smith's office 33 SHOO 49 LATCH HOOK KITS Assorted Kits Now All X2 PRICE While They Last FOR Pair $1 00 FOR Limit-6 Daytime 1 5's PAMPERS HOUSE HOLD 10 GALLON 1 Flour Sack DISH TOWELS Reg. 65' All Top 150 ALBUMS BUY ONE AT REGULAR PRICE GET THE SECOND Jr i S)(5ye" AQUARIUM KIT 10 gallon tank Pump 5 Lbs. gravel Filter carbon-filter floss Chlorine neutralizer Fish care booklet Food sample PLANTS 3" Containers Great Selection $fj 00 for NO LIMIT $5)00 (Q) FLICKER RAZORS FOR Reg.
